Media Buyer

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

MassMedia is a fast-growing advertising and public relations agency dedicated to helping our clients establish and grow relationships with their best customers and patients. Our campaigns include award-winning work for some of Nevada’s most recognized brands.

The media buyer will negotiate and purchase advertising space in print, outdoor, broadcast, and digital outlets for assigned clients and will maintain schedules and will manage media discrepancies. The Media
Buyer will also support the Account Services Team with client needs.

Key Responsibilities and expectations:
• Find a combination of media that will enable the marketer the best way to communicate the message
• Make recommendations on budget, flight dates, target audiences, media schedules and mediums
• Negotiate best price, quality and placement of advertisements with media sales companies to obtain most competitive prices and securing the best airtime slots
• Prepare advertising schedules
• Gain client approval for each campaign phase
• Manage all placed media
• Input media schedules into media buying software
• Negotiate added value
• Traffic creative to appropriate media outlet
• Coordinate launch of media campaigns with media companies, account services, creative department and clients
• Monitor and optimize effectiveness of campaigns
• Help collect media invoices
• Review and approval media invoices
• Build relationships with media sales workers employed by Television, Radio, Digital, OOH, Print companies
• Keeping up to date with fluctuations in popularity ratings and developments in the industry
• Aware of media trends
• Monitor buying strategies
• Collect information about the kinds of audiences that can be reached by the different media and the approximate size of those audiences

• Bachelor's degree required
• Candidate must be willing to relocate to Las Vegas, NV
• 3-5 years of experience in agency media buying, including both traditional and digital
• Ability to work independently, using initiative and creativity to overcome obstacles and complete assigned tasks within allotted time
• Ability to communicate effectively to managers and co-workers in the providing or the gathering of information related to assigned tasks
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while being mindful of priorities and deadlines
• A passion for advertising
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis on Excel
