Job Description
The SEM/SEO Contractor is responsible to analyze, develop and execute long-term search engine marketing strategies across PPC and organic search to ensure increased digital performance, brand visibility and organic traffic.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assisting with strategic development for SEO campaigns, starting from kick-off and extending thru post-launch and analysis stages
• Defining and building keyword lists based on clients’ objectives and market opportunity, using a mix of proprietary tools, analytics data, and PPC data
• Preparing and executing on-page optimization strategies to achieve organic visibility for clients
• Preparing website technical audits to identify areas of concern from an SEO perspective
• Reviewing website server logs, crawl reports, and analytics reports to come up with strategies to improve indexation
• Reviewing web analytics data to provide feedback to overall digital team on performance, and to analyze visitor behavior and trends to come up with next steps
• Identify search query trends, real-time search and news media activity
• Analyze data such as authority, rankings, and backlinks to generate improvements and ideas
• Implement and administer search engine programs (Google Webmaster Tools)
• Monitor and evaluate web analytics dashboards to develop and recommend SEO strategies
• Continuously optimize efforts, including but not limited to keyword research, on-page optimizations
• Keep pace with search engine, social media and internet marketing industry trends
• Run web site audits to test the effectiveness of strategy
• Develop and implement link building campaigns
• Weekly reporting opportunities highlighting key optimizations and KPI metrics

• Interpret campaign performance data and reports
• Plan, manage and execute search engine marketing campaigns across multiple clients, including keyword research, budget management, bid strategy, ad copy creation, and landing page optimization
• Use bid management and web analytic tools to create performance reports
• Assist with strategic planning and internal processes to improve efficiency and meet KPIs
• Responsible for budget pacing and monthly spend actualization
• Implement ongoing SEM testing for conversion rate and user experience optimization
• Aid in the development/optimization of landing pages with developers and digital team
• Collaborate on client relationships by providing strategy, and performance audits and insights to agency teams
• Weekly reporting opportunities highlighting key optimizations and KPI metrics

• Proficiency in paid search platforms, including but not limited to: Google Ads, Bing Ads, Adobe/Google Analytics
• Experience with website analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends, etc.
• In-Depth knowledge of SEO software such as Moz, BrightEdge, DeepCrawl, Conductor, SEOBook, ScreamingFrog, and others
• Strong understanding of SEM/SEO and applied analytical learnings
• Immense attention to detail with strong passion for critical thinking
• Ability to analyze, visualize, and report on data
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with varied assigned deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Actively participate in special project assignments
• 2+ years’ experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Certifications/qualifications in Analytics, AdWords or other key marketing platforms
• Experience working with keyword tools (Google, WordTracker, Keyword Discovery, etc.)
• High-level proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Knowledge of PPC programs and optimizing data gathered from both organic and paid sources
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, digital media or related field and a minimum of 2 years digital communications experience, agency preferred.
