Social Media Coordinator

We are seeking a creative, forward-thinking, and driven individual who can execute all social media initiatives and strategies while working with the MassMedia team to implement and launch the campaigns successfully. The Social Media Coordinator must be a creative individual with a skill set based on knowledge of all social platforms, short-form video editing, Canva design skills, and a creative flair to copywriting with the ability to articulate a brand’s perspective clearly within the social space. Additionally, the Social Media Coordinator should be able to pull and interpret analytic data to determine success for each social channel.


– Work directly with the social media director, and account leads to create and execute social media strategies for our clients with quantifiable goals associated to each channel

– Ideate and develop engaging content for social media platforms; this will include on-site filming and photography, editing Reels/TikToks and graphics, working with the design team on graphic designs and visuals, template creation through tools like Canva, etc.

– Attend events and produce live social media content; this will also include offering creative direction and management when hours are unavailable for social to attend

– Maintain a unified brand voice across all relevant social media channels, as well as create a new brand voice and vibe for new clients through social auditing

– Monitor social media channels for industry trends and trend insights to stay ahead of the curve in an ever-changing social landscape

– Pull analytics and create reports showcasing key metrics

-Monitor sentiment of campaign content and competitive landscapes to drive strategic content and response; interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments

– Experiment with new tools and platforms and provide findings and key learnings to social media director and department as necessary

– Assist the team in engaging on social media platforms, answering direct messages and comments frequently


– Bachelor’s degree required

– A passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)

– Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills

– Familiarity with Social Media Deployment Systems, Content Creation Tools, and Editing Tools ( BrandWatch, Later, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar AND Canva, Capcut, etc.)

– Familiarity with analyzing social media analytics

– Ability to capture photo and video content on an iPhone and/or digital camera

– Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends and memes in the digital content and social media space

– Ability to multi-task and work in an evolving organization

– Strong time management skills

– Strong communication skills

– High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation

– Experience working in a PR and/or Marketing agency is a plus

– The ability to use a task management system like Asana is a plus
