To move forward, the brand had to look back. We partnered with Agate to decouple their specialties and reintroduce their general contracting powerhouse as a standalone force.
Our goal
To eliminate market confusion and fuel growth, we set out to build a clear “firewall” between the company’s general contracting and steel procurement divisions. The objective: a distinct identity that secures a legacy, empowers a new leadership structure, and ensures the brand remains bulletproof for the next 50 years.
Strategy
We leaned into “The Primak Factor.” By centering the rebrand on principal Lou Primak, we transitioned from a corporate entity to a high-trust, relationship-driven brand.
- The Name: We launched Primak Construction Group, instantly leveraging decades of established street-cred and personal handshakes.
- The Vibe: Based on partner interviews, we defined the “Sophisticated Cowboy” persona—a blend of integrity, grit, and high-level strategy.
- The Visuals: We ditched the “construction orange” clichés for a refined palette of olive greens and greys, using aged textures to signal a brand that’s already paid its dues.
- The Heritage: We integrated a subtle homage to Primak’s mentor, ensuring the new logo carried the weight of the company’s history.
